Private Muir Woods and Marin County Tours

“In every walk with nature, one receives more than he seeks... John Muir

There’s world class, jaw dropping beauty as you cross the Golden Gate Bridge. This is where civilization and wilderness meet and it’s abrupt. This is where two tectonic plates meet.  I daydream about this area every day.

Muir Woods National Monument – Serene 90 minute walk through an ancient redwood forest. One of the three most popular tour destination requests. Although the National Park Service does not allow tour guides inside the park, while on our drive to the park I will convey some history and science of the giant redwoods.

Marin Headlands – These are the gorgeous rolling hills of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area right as you cross the Golden Gate Bridge including Point Bonita Lighthouse, Rodeo Beach and other spectacular vistas.

Sausalito – The picturesque bayside town closest to the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Tiburon – Seaside town with beautiful views of San Francisco from waterfront restaurants. Just minutes from Sausalito.

Mt. Tamalpais – Breathtaking views overlooking the Pacific and the Bay from 2000’ elevation.

Point Reyes – A beautiful hour drive to west Marin’s incomparable National Seashore.

Drakes Bay & Beach – Sir Francis Drake parked here in the 1579 to repair his ship

Lighthouse – Beautiful views and good whale watching spot during migration season

Tule elk herd – Ever seen a herd of elk with the Pacific Ocean in the background ?
